Ep. 42 – Boston, California: Matt Mitrione, David Mitchell, John Wilkes Booth
With $1.5 billion on the line, John Morgan and Cold Coffee can’t help but head out for a road trip to try and cash in. On the way, they spend time talking about a crazy week in MMA news. Morgan then heads to Boston for UFC Fight Night 81, where he and Matt Erickson share some time with a very reflective Matt Mitrione (@mattmitrione). Morgan that catches up with an old friend in David Mitchell, who seems ready to make a new charge in the sport. Finally, it’s some insight from John Wilkes Booth and his girlfriend. Seriously.
John Morgan heads to California to spend a day at the famed American Kickboxing Academy, and one fighter gets injured while he’s there (stone age training, perhaps?), while another shows off his epic trash-talking skills. The next day, it’s back in Las Vegas and in court to hear Wanderlei Silva’s case against the NSAC. And finally, it’s over to the brand new Hybrid Performance training center to talk with Frank Mir and his boxing coach, former Freddie Roach disciple Angelo Reyes.
