“I think I broke my hand, but pain is temporary and joy is forever. We worked on that left in training. I slipped out to my right and threw my left down the pipe. I know from my first fights in UFC I didn’t go for the finish and I knew this time if I got him there I would keep working until the ref stopped me. The layoff helped me because it allowed me to reflect on my first time in UFC and get stronger mentally for this fight.”
