Not anymore…. In mere moments some of us MMA fans will be blessed (it is Sunday if you are into that sort of thing) with a little MMA to go with our NFL playoff games. I’ll be honest, as a Browns fan I normally don’t have too much to worry about when it get’s to playoff time during the NFL season… But alas as a man I still would rather watch other NFL teams play than the lifetime movie Agent H is watching in the other room.
But today I have the added pleasure of UFC Fight Night Boston (UFN 81) to keep my attention. The time has finally arrived to see whether bantamweight champion TJ Dillashaw has what it takes to quiet the mouth of challenger and former bantamweight champion Dominick Cruz. There certainly isn’t any love lost between these two but I don’t think there is any real malice between these two. I do think TJ would like to silence the chatter of “who has the best movement?” or “Dom is the originator of that style”…
I definitely think comparisons can be made between the two, but I do think there are differences in their styles… I see TJ utilizing his feet more when he strikes and evades strikes, whereas Dom has a way of moving his head and upper body that no one quite has emulated.
As much as I’d like to see a finish in the main event, I foresee this being 5 rounds of unique movement and precision striking that we can only find when we put two fighters of this caliber in a ring.

Who else are you looking forward to seeing fight today?

Very excited for the rest of the main card and I anticipate the Felder – Cruickshank fight to be a barn burner. Also who doesn’t want to see Boetsch vs Herman, I don’t think that one will go the distance…

Well it’s time to turn on UFC Fight Pass and get the party started…
